Brockport’s 3-1-3 Program Opens Windows to the Future

Hundreds of academically motivated students have opened their own special windows since the 3-1-3 began in 1977. Seniors combine classes at The College at Brockport with a rigorous schedule at Brockport High School to accumulate up to 32 college credits - the first year of a baccalaureate degree. The 3-1-3 program acts as a bridge, giving young people a chance to go beyond traditional high school, experience college life, and save money on college tuition. Participation has risen from under 5% to more than 20% of graduating seniors in the last eight years. Student Jessica DeToy says, “The glimpse of college I’ve gotten through the 3-1-3 has been great!”
