County Recognizes SHS students, CHOICES

January marked National Mentoring Month, and Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo invited Spencerport High School students to a special ceremony on Jan. 23 to mark the occasion.

The County Executive specifically recognized our students in the CHOICE'S program - a mentoring initiative in which high school students work with middle school students to help ease the transition to high school.

Seniors Jamie Briggs and Natalie Wiebeld represented the program and Spencerport, and spoke about the success of CHOICES, as well as the High School’s Service Learning Internship Program (SLIP).
