Supporting the Drive to Succeed

East Rochester is the best-kept secret in the county," says Monroe County Court Judge Vicki Argento, ERHS '80.  "I love everything about ER, and I'm happiest whenever I'm anywhere in town."  Judge Argento served in private practice and then as ER Town/Village Court Justice for more than 20 years before being elected to County Court, where she started her 10-year term on Jan. 1, 2011.  "I know I'm where I am because of my ER upbringing and education," she says.  "The schools and teachers are top-notch.  I always felt they cared, and took an interest in me, my family, and my friends.  My successes and failures were theirs."  The St. John Fisher College and SUNY Buffalo Law School graduate adds, "I would do anything it took to make them proud.  They gave me the drive to succeed."  Judge Argento, who proudly resides in ER and is an extremely active volunteer in, and sponsor of, numerous school and community groups and events, also notes, "Growing up in 'The Home of Champions' instilled in me a sense of tradition and caring -- the friends I made here are tried and true.”
