BHS student inspires art

BHS Senior Pallas Hoffmann teamed up with Ginther Art Teacher Katie Snyder to create fun lessons, highlighting the importance of art to kindergarten students, as part of Pallas’ independent study. Pallas created a guided drawing video that was shown to each of Mrs. Snyder’s kindergarten art classes. When the Chair of the Art Department, Mary Warth, approached Pallas about the kindergarten project, the senior saw it as an opportunity to expand her portfolio and gain more experience before college.

"I just wanted to help, I remember art was my favorite class in kindergarten, so I tried to keep things interesting and fun for them,” says Pallas. “I hope to contribute to future generations who will have a greater interest in taking more art classes.”

Pallas worked with Mrs. Snyder and Mrs. Warth to select and check out books she would use for her videos. Pallas recorded and edited the “how to draw” video demonstrations and showed students the amazing things they can do through their art.
