Previewing the Future at CTE

The halls of Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center were busy with parents, students and community members exploring their options at the annual CTE Expo. Students in grades 8-10 and their families previewed the programs that will be available when these students begin 11th grade. From Advertising to Phlebotomy and Laboratory Science, prospective CTE students participated in hands-on activities that were available from each program. Current CTE students enjoyed showing the ropes to visitors. Cosmetology students displayed their styling supplies, carpentry students gave woodworking demonstrations, and future chefs made mouths water in the baking classrooms.
